A woman was hit by a subway train in Manhattan on Tuesday evening at the bustling 42nd St. Station in Midtown, police said. The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital after being struck by the northbound “E” train headed from the World Trade Center to Parsons Blvd. Police are investigating why the woman was on the tracks. Although her condition was not reported, police say she was alive when taken to the hospital.
