1 Dead, 5 Injured in New York Car Wreck | New York City Car Accident Attorneys

September 4, 2013 By Michael Hecht

One person was killed and five others injured in a car wreck in Suffolk County over the weekend. The accident occurred when an 18-year-old woman driving a Toyota RAV4 southbound on Route 110 collided with a northbound Toyota Tacoma. The woman’s 55-year-old aunt was killed in the accident, while she, her friend, and her mother were treated for non-fatal injuries. The 23-year-old driver of the Tacoma and a passenger in his vehicle were also transported to a local hospital for treatment. The crash is under investigation by the police.

There are many factors which can contribute to motor vehicle collisions, including manufacturing defects in the vehicle, speeding, obstacles in the roadway, distracted driving, and impaired driving, just to name a few. No matter what the cause, most auto accidents result in serious injuries and death to occupants of the vehicles. Survivors and their family members should consult an experienced New York City car accident attorney who will help them explore their legal options to gain justice and compensation for their injuries.
